Today, I’m going to be showing you 5 Fall DIYs. These retail for way more on Kirklands website, but my Dollar Tree dupes only cost a few dollars each. Talk about high end Fall decor on a budget, right?!
As always, I created a video to show you the tutorial. Below the video, you will also find some printables to go along with the projects.

dupe #1 // wooden ledge mums floral arrangement
I thought this floral arrangement from Kirkland’s was so pretty, but knowing how nice of florals you can get at Dollar Tree, I wasn’t willing to pay $35 for this. I started with some Dollar Tree mason jars and painted them white. I used a sponge brush to give these a little texture.
Then I added some Dollar Tree twine and created a bow. I attached these with a hot glue gun.
Next, I painted this wooden sign to look like the dark wood on the Kirkland’s inspiration. I already had this sign, but you can find these wooden signs like this in all different sizes at Dollar Tree.
Now we’re going to have to improvise with the handles. I took some Dollar Tree felt and wrapped it into a little cylinder. Then I sealed with a strip of hot glue.
I finished the “handles” with some black paint and let it dry well. I think it kind of looks like a leather strap. I hot glued those onto the base and now we have an almost exact dupe of the Kirkland’s.
Let’s check out the comparison! Looks pretty close to me!
dupe #2 // eucalyptus and pumpkin hoop wreath
I thought this wreath was so beautiful. But for $40, well I know we can do better than that! I started with this wooden hoop and wrapped the twine around it.
I found these pumpkins at Dollar Tree. They have clips on the back, but I ended up taking those off. I also took off the stems to paint them. And then popped those stems back in after the painting was complete.
Now for the fun part. Assembling all the florals together with some hot glue.
Since the stems are pretty stiff, you will want to hold them onto the hot glue until it dries so they don’t pop out of place.
I love how this came out! Keep scrolling to check out our savings!
dupe #3 // Monogram pumpkin
This monogram pumpkin from Kirkland’s was originally $35. I really liked how it looked and wanted to make my own.
I already had some of that ribbon, so I printed up my monogram and cut it out with scissors.
I painted the pumpkin to be a deep salmon color to tie in with that wreath we just made. I used a slightly darker orange to add some dimension to the grooves of the pumpkin and then softly blended that in.
I used the letter I cut out to trace it onto the pumpkin. I used a white Sharpie paint pen to trace the outline and then filled in with a couple coats of white paint.
All that is left to do is add that gingham bow.
Look how cute this is for a fraction of the cost of the Kirkland’s original.
dupe #4 // gingham flag and pumpkin pennant banner
I wanted a pretty banner to put up for Fall on the mantle. Instead of paying $15, we are going to make our own for super cheap.
First, I designed these printables and then trimmed them all out.
If you want that free download, here it is. Just enter your name and email address and then you will be prompted to click a link and download your printable.
I used a burlap type ribbon to attach the cut out pieces with hot glue.
I had this hula skirt from Dollar Tree and used it to make the little raffia bows for that extra touch of detail to those pumpkins we cut out.

Isn’t this so pretty?! Let’s look at the savings and comparison!
dupe #5 // Metal wall plaque
This cute farmhouse style fall plaque was $25 from Kirkland’s. But we are going to make it for $1!
You may remember this from a previous wall decor I had done. Click here for that post.
This was originally from a set of stove top covers from Dollar Tree.
I put a coat of white spray paint on it and give it a new Fall life.
I recreated the sign from Kirkland’s and used a little Mod Podge to stick it down and then use a little rolling pin to flatten it out.
Let this dry completely before putting any more on top or going on to the paint.
Now that everything is dry, I wanted to add a few little shadows and texture to the sign. This will also help conceal that edge of the paper.
And here is the final look and the comparison showing the cost savings!
