Boho Dollar Tree DIYs | DIY Summer Patio Ideas
Don’t you love Summer? Everything is in bloom right now. I was inspired to make an herb garden and then got going with a few other ideas to give my patio some style.
These boho DIY’s are all super cheap thanks to some Dollar Tree finds. Keep reading, or check out the video I created below to see some these crafts come together.

// hanging herb garden
I found these baskets at Dollar Tree and want to put together some little labels for them.
This cork sheet is really thin, so it was super easy to cut. I put a label on it and used some letters I found at Dollar Tree to display what kind of herbs are in each basket. You can use a little glue to make these really secure.
I used some Dollar Tree twine to attach the label and then to connect the 3 baskets together. You could use as many of these baskets as you want, they are only $1 each!
And then I got to the fun part – planting those herbs! Oh and I picked just about the worst day to do this, because it was raining. I did my best to get some good shots, but the weather was not cooperating!
After planting the herbs, I just attached this to my patio rail with some zip ties and now I have a really cute little herb garden for just a few dollars.
// mason jar planters
I had a couple of herbs left, so I decided to do a few standalone planters with some mason jars. I painted these Dollar Tree mason jars with a fun boho pattern.
I love a good EASY craft and this is one of those! All I did was mark off some shapes with masking tape and paint the negative space. You may want to add a clear coat after the paint so it really sticks on there well. I added a little twine at the top and thought these came out really cute.
// plant stand
I have a table outside on my covered patio and thought it might be nice to set those extra herbs on something with boho style.
Dollar Tree has this really nice rope and I used that rope and some hot glue to create a circle.
I also found this white yarn at Dollar Tree and attached it to the back with some hot glue. The yarn is pretty good quality for $1.
This would also make a really cute coaster. If you made it a little bigger, it could even be used as a placemat. I made it in an in-between size, so it would fit perfectly on my patio table and be a nice spot for those extra herbs to sit.
