Christmas In July Pom Pom Crafts!
It’s never too early to get going on the Christmas DIYs. We’ve got a few short months until Christmas, so let’s get going with 8 fun Dollar Tree DIYs. And they’re all made with pom-poms!
I posted a video on my YouTube channel, if you want to check it out below!
Isn’t there something oh so satisfying about seeing these pom-poms all organized by color? Whenever I see pom-poms, they come across as really festive. That’s why I thought these pom-pom crafts would be the perfect way to get in the Christmas spirit.
Most of these items used in these crafts are Dollar Tree finds. The bag of pom-poms at Dollar Tree was great, but the smaller ones I use are from a huge Amazon pom-pom bag that I had bought awhile back.
A lot of these can be used as tree ornaments, or just for some cute decor around the house during the season.
So, let’s get going on the first Christmas pom pom DIY!
1 // pom pom SNOWMAN
Do you want to build a snowman? I started by painting a ping pong ball from Dollar Tree with some white spray paint and then drew on a little face.
I added some felt and pom poms for the earmuffs. And then attached 2 pom poms for the snowman body.
You could add some festive twine and he would make a really cute ornament.
2 // simple pom pom ornament
Another simple ornament is to add the string to a pom pom. You could leave it just with the string or add a little bow or other adornment to dress it up. Simple, but really elegant!
3 // gnome ornament
Next, we’re going to make a gnome ornament. I made a hat from some Dollar Tree felt and then added some pom poms and painted his nose pink. A little string at the top and you have a really cute ornament. I can imagine a whole tree filled with these cute guys!
4 // WREATH ornament
This one will be a personalized wreath ornament. First, I cut a piece of cardboard in a circle and I added a photo of my husband and I on our wedding day.
That gold and white string can be found at Dollar Tree. I attached it to the back with some hot glue.
A few pom poms later and for just a few pennies, we have a really pretty personalized ornament.
5 // JOY SIGN
You guys know I love simple, yet elegant designs that are budget friendly. So, this next one is just that.
I took a Dollar Tree canvas and wrote the word “JOY”. You can use whatever word you want on your canvas. A few pom poms later, and this would be so pretty sitting on the fireplace mantle! Or you could hang it in your home office during the holidays!
6 // TREE WALL ART
For this next Dollar Tree canvas, I wanted the background to look like shiplap.
I took a thin paintbrush and drew some grey lines on it. After that dried, I hot glued some poms poms in the shape of a Christmas tree and added a few wooden cubes for the tree trunk. I found all these items at Dollar Tree, so this was super cheap and fun to make!
7 // WHITE POM POM WREATH
This one is my favorite. I took a foam floral ring and wrapped this white Dollar Tree yarn around it.
I added a couple white and silver pom poms and this wreath is just so simple and elegant. I love how fuzzy and festive this looks!
8 // PING PONG BALL ORNAMENT
You would never guess this one was made from a ping pong ball! I stuck those pom poms right on there with some hot glue. I was running out of red and green pom poms at this point, so I mixed it up a bit with the colors on this ornament.
They also have plastic baseballs at dollar tree so if you wanted these a little bit bigger you could go with those.
