The ULTIMATE Subscription Box Throwdown! Sub Box Comparison!
If you are new to subscription boxes, this is a great post to familiarize yourself with what is out there and which subscription box might be for you!
Normally, I do these unboxings on their own and then do a favorites video with my top 5 items from that seasons subscription boxes. Well, we are really going to get into it today and make this even more fun by making one all emcompassing post, so these 3 subscription boxes can have a true throwdown. I will link everything in the post, in case you see something you like.

FabFitFun is one of my favorites, so I have loved trying out some of these Fall products. FabFitFun’s packaging is always so cute and this season’s box was no exception.
Human+Kind Body Souffle
The first item in the Fall FabFitFun is this body souflee. It is a really light and airy formula, so it soaks into the skin really quickly. It’s in a nice large sized bottle, so this will last a long time.
skin & company truffle therapy toner
Next, we have this Skin & Company Truffle Therapy Toner. This brand has shown up in a previous FabFitFun box and I’ve been enjoying that makeup remover a lot. This toner does glide onto your skin and it has a nice neutral scent. This was one of the items FabFitFun gave me a selection on.
aveda damage remedy hair repair lotion
Next is the Aveda Damage Remedy Hair Repair Lotion. Hair care is so important, especially in the winter when the air is dry. I know Aveda makes good products and I’ve been using this after I wash my hair and it doesn’t leave it greasy feeling and seems to blow dry smoother when I use it.
skinvolve body boost gel
This Skinvolve gel is supposed to tighten skin, but you know these things never perform miracles or anything. What I do love is the menthol and green tea and the way this product soaks into the skin very quickly, since it is a gel. This was an item I got to choose from a few other products, here were those other options.
nassif md detox pads
These are the Nassif MD Detox Pads with alpha and beta hydroxy. These complexion perfecting pads are really nice because they get off any last bits of makeup and are a great step in your evening routine before your lotions. There were some great customization options for this one, but I am really happy I picked these because they leave your skin feeling so soft and smooth.
better skin company lava magik
This cleanser, scrub and mask has been really nice too. I have been using this as a cleanser and it does seem to remove most of my makeup. It is a small jar though, so using it as a cleanser or scrub did make me go through the jar pretty quickly. I probably wouldn’t repurchase this one. These were the other options for this one.
harper + ari exfoliating sugar scrub cubes
These are the Harper + Ari exfoliating sugar scrub cubes. I was so excited about these because they had a light fruity scent and looked so cute and I love scrubs. But they ended up being difficult to use. Since they are square and small, it was kind of awkward trying to disintegrate these on your body in the shower. They rolled out of my hand and I ended up dropping them a lot. So, not something I would repurchase. I definitely like regular body scrubs better.
Plush scarf
Lastly for FabFitFun, we have this cute plaid scarf, which I actually ended up using as a table runner for my Fall tablescape. It is super cute as a scarf too and is so soft and cozy. I just love this plaid scarf from Plush and will definitely be wearing it a lot this season… after I switch up my tablescape for winter, which I will be sharing in an upcoming post and video on my YouTube channel. This was a customized item, so here you can see the other options they gave us.

Alrighty, now we are on to Box of Style. This is so fun and exciting, I can’t wait to tell you my favorites at the end! I tested these products out for a month, so I know which are the best of the best!
The box that the Box of Style comes in are ones I always keep and use for gift wrapping because they are so pretty. I guess it was my anniversary because I got an extra item this time in my Fall Box of Style.
Archipelago Black Forest Candle
The gift I got for my anniversary was the Archipelago Black Forest Candle. I love this candle, it smells so good and isn’t too feminine or fruity. Almost like a forest scent, so it’s great for Fall and Winter. I love the sleek packaging too, but the candle did look like it melted or bubbled up a little on the top. That smoothed out after a few uses though. The scent is pretty strong and lingers even after the candle goes out.
RACHEL MIRIAM Leather Card Case
Next, is this beautiful wallet. I love how simple this is, but it’s really elegant and sleek to put in a small purse. And it is even genuine leather. You get fewer items in the Rachel Zoe Box of Style, but they are always high quality items.
dannijo necklace
Next is a piece of jewely from the Dannijo brand. This necklace is chunky and heavy and I love that it looks so dressy, but as you see here looks great with a casual outfit too. This would be a great one to take on vacation, since it looks great with a cocktail dress or a teeshirt.
shani dardum texture reform serum
Next, we have this texture reform serum from Shani Dardum. This bottle is really heavy and well, it took a lot of pushes to get this thing going, but it effortlessly soaks into the skin after you finally get that pump going. It’s nice and lightweight and feels like a quality product. I haven’t seen any wrinkles disappear, but it does feel nice on the skin.
MARC JACOBS BEAUTY Enamored Lip
I have never tried any Marc Jacobs makeup products and this is the hydrating lip gloss stick, a really nice neutral pink. It looks like a lipstick, but it is soooo moisturizing feeling and the color is just gorgeous. This goes on like a lipstick to where it isn’t super sheer or anything and it lasts a decent length of time, and provides just the right amount of gloss. Now this won’t stay on through a meal, but it will stay on until your next meal. I really love this color and smooth glossy but not too glossy formula. I’m definitely going to buy more of these in different colors!
JJ WINTERS Ivy Leather Crossbody
Then we have this cute little purse. I just love the size of this. It’s from the brand JJ Winters and is such a gorgeous brown color for Fall. That little wallet would fit just perfectly in here. It has a magnetic snap closure and a gold ring on the front with that cute tassel. I just love this purse with that gold necklace too.

Last but not least, we have the Fall Causebox. Causebox tries to find brands that do good by supporting important global causes. They also try to find a lot of women owned businesses, which I love to support. This illustration is too cute and giraffes are just my favorite, so extra points to Causebox for that little giraffe on the box!
Known Supply duffel bag
Causebox did give us a choice on color for this duffle bag. There were also a solid blue and an army green option. This bag has a detachable strap and is nice and large with a zipper on the outside, a zipper on the top and even one on the inside. You can really fit a lot in this duffel bag!
la beauté Soi 10-Piece Makeup Brush Collection
Next is this super pretty makeup brush set. White and rose gold and the brushes are very soft and sturdy feeling. I felt the brushes performed well, but not as good as the Sigma or Ecotools brands. They are a great set to take on a trip though and that rollup case is nice to keep everything neatly contained.
Glass Ladder & Co. Terrazzo Travel Wallet
There seems to be a traveling theme here with the brush set, the duffel bag and this travel wallet from Glass Ladder and Co. The blush pink with the abstract splotches of color are so pretty on this. I love the size and it is really easy to clean too. A little smudge can be wiped right off of this durable material.
Nashelle Heather Drop Lariat Necklace in Gold
At first I wasn’t ecstatic about this necklace, but then I saw how it works. It’s one long chain, so you can adjust it to any length. I didn’t think I would like it because it felt a little cheap, but I’ve actually been wearing this a lot and it looks like it will last a long time.
MALIN+GOETZ Recovery Treatment Oil
I’ve never heard of this brand before. This is a good sized bottle of the Recovery Treatment Oil and I have been using this and it isn’t too heavy of an oil. I do think it will take a really long time to get through this because you don’t need very much to get a nice hydrated feel to your skin.
La Lueur Candles White Cactus Coconut Wax Candle
Last item is a candle. This one from La Lueur is cactus flower scented and it’s in such a pretty little simple white jar. This would go well in pretty much any room. I’m actually still deciding where I want to place this but for now I have been moving it around. I love the light and fresh scent and clean looking design.

Ok, now we are ready for my top 5 favorite products based on about a month of use. Then we will see who had the most favorited items. These are in no particular order.

My #1 favorite is that long necklace from Causebox. Initially, I thought I wasn’t going to like this but its something I have been grabbing often because of the versatility in the length.

My #2 favorite item is the FabFitFun plaid scarf. This scarf ended up being multi-purpose. I used it as a table runner in my Fall tablescape and then it transitioned into a scarf when it finally got a little cooler here in Texas. This scarf is warm and cozy and super soft. It has a classic plaid pattern with that touch of fringe that will never go out of style.

My #3 favorite item is another jewelry piece and it’s that chunky Dannijo necklace from the Box of Style. This necklace is another really versatile piece because I think it can be dressed up or down and is quite a statement because of the size and unique shape of this necklace.

My #4 favorite item is the Marc Jacobs lipstick from Box of Style. This is a great shade of pink, keeps your lips nice and hydrated and I love it so much, I plan on getting it in a few other shades.

My #5 favorite Fall subscription box item issss…the cute little purse from Box of Style. Another versatile one here because it can be over the shoulder, crossbody, or even a clutch if you tuck that strap in. It is a nice compact size, yet large enough to fit all your essentials. It is just a classic little bag perfect for Fall and Winter when you don’t want anything too bulky, since you will already be all bundled up for the cold weather.

Box of Style had 3 out of 5 of my favorited items, so that makes them the winner of this subscription box throwdown for the Fall season! That’s pretty good, since they also had the fewest products in their box.
